i only like this portrait of nadia from yesterday. and then the battery ran out.
‘between the lines’ at the annexe was so-so. i quite enjoyed jerome kugan’s mixed media work though.
on the first floor:
ART House Gallery Museum of Ethnic Arts will be showcasing pieces by artist Qin Wei, who hails from the Yunnan province, China beginning today at their gallery titled From Yunnan to Malaysia. Qin had spent time painting the orang asli in West Malaysia as well as the Dayaks in East Malaysia. Most of his works are done with dry brush strokes with monochrome ink, resembling Western charcoal sketches. The exhibition is open from 10.30am to 8.30pm daily at The Annexe in Kuala Lumpur.
i will look into getting a couple of the smaller pieces perhaps.
